Services & Ministries

River of Life Church is committed to provide inspirational times of worship, to bring practical messages and ministry, and to offer opportunities for fellowship, study, prayer, and service.

We encourage you to participate in our small groups, fellowship meals, informal times of hospitality, and to use our recreational facilities.

As a church, we believe that being a disciple of Jesus involves 4 important elements: Inspiration, Instruction, Relationships, and Devotion.

Toward the goal of Christian teaching, River of Life presents Life School, Sunday morning instruction for each age group.  These classes begin at 9:45 sharp and run for 30 minutes with an emphasis on providing the tools necessary for developing disciples of Jesus Christ.  Our Sunday worship time is devoted more toward inspiration than instruction.

BUILDING COMMUNITY, MAKING DISCIPLES, IMPACTING OUR NEIGHBORHOODS

    Sunday: Nurseries – For infants until child enters K-5 during Sunday"s LIFE SCHOOL.  Then during the Worship service, 1 and 2 yr. olds will receive interactive child-care, training in Christian education designed for their age group, along with playtime.

    LIFE SCHOOL - Instruction time for the entire family designed to help the believer become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.  We have classes as follows at 9:45 am: K5- Grade 1; Grades 2-4; 5-7; 8-12; Adult.  Following our worship in music, ages 3-4 will receive ttheir instruction.

    Wednesday: Prayer Emphasis - A weekly gathering in various locations whose primary focus is prayer.  On the first Wednesday of the month, we gather at a home in Danville and on the second Wednesday, we meet in Roxboro.  For more info, see EVENTS/ANNOUNC'MTS or use the CONTACT US tab.

    Overcomers' Outreach - Held weekly at 8:00 in the dinig hall at Hope Harbor on Main Street in Danville, this support group/Bible Study is designed for those deriring to overcome addictions.  Contact Gene Smith 434-822-6600 for more information.
