River of Life Church

River of Life Church is one of many churches that finds its roots in the "Jesus Movement" of the 70's. In retrospect we believe that our history is not marked by man's successes, but rather by God's faithfulness. Since our beginning, the emphasis of our gathering together has been worship and the emphasis of our ministry has been discipleship.

Since the mid-1980's, God has enlarged our hearts to include ministry to the nations. We recognize the importance of involvement and association with other churches. Because of this, we are a part of Kingsway Connection, which is an association of churches and leaders in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, Michigan, and Europe. As a church, we value our relationship with these churches and leaders as well as those in our local community.

* We identify with historical Christianity and are indebted to the faith passed on to us by the early disciples.

* We recognize the Bible as the true and trustworthy revelation of God's will for us. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

* We believe in the God of love and holiness who desires fellowship with us and expects righteousness of us.

* His Son, Jesus, is our divine Lord and Savior. He became man and lived as our example, died for our salvation and rose again for our life. We look forward to His return and acknowledge Him as Master of our lives.

* We rejoice in the presence of the Holy Spirit, yielding to His fullness, accepting His spiritual gifts, allowing His fruit to come forth in our lives, following His guidance, and depending on His power.

* We accept our responsibility to share our Lord's Gospel with all people.
